CANADA– A couple’s truck was struck by lightning as they drove down a rural highway in Canada, according  to CTV News.

Surveillance cameras nearby caught the lightning bolt striking the vehicle and you see it go up in a ball of flames.

Al and Betty Perry were inside the truck. They told CTV News that the airbags deployed; smoke began to fill the truck, making it hard to see or breathe; and parts of the truck were melted, making it almost impossible to get out.

Al told CTV, “How are we going to get out of this particular thing? This is a coffin.”

An officer driving by helped them escape.
